Matthew Daniels, CPFA® heads up the firm’s 401(k) advisory services team where he specializes in helping business owners and plan participants navigate and operate qualified retirement savings plans. He also offers individual and family financial planning for all stages of life and asset levels. Matthew previously served as a retirement planner at a very large brokerage firm where he specialized in portfolio allocations, fixed income, annuities, and 401(k) advisory services. He holds the CPFA® designation, short for Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, a credential offered by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) along with his Series 7, 63, 66 registrations and Life and Health Insurance Licenses.

Joining a family firm like Summit, where he could have a combined practice of advising 401(k) plan fiduciaries as well as personal financial planning for individual clients, was a perfect fit. Matthew is happily married to his best friend Kristy and has two sons and a step-son. He is a long-time accredited amateur boxing coach and supporter of youth boxing programs in Cincinnati and he formerly owned his own gym. He is also a passionate supporter of his sons’ baseball pitching careers at Heidelberg University and Bellarmine University respectively.
