Scott Moffitt is the co-founder and CEO of Summit Financial Group, Inc. A Christian based financial services firm with offices in Cincinnati, Lafayette, and Indianapolis. He is also the President and CEO of SMB Services, Inc., a mortgage brokerage company supporting the financial services company.
Over the last 12 years Mr. Moffitt has built a very successful financial planning practice. He has been the top producing advisor multiple times for a Summit Brokerage Services, a publicly traded broker dealer. Of the over 100 offices with the broker dealer, Scott’s office has been the top producing office numerous times.
Providing community education has always been a priority of Scott’s. He has regularly taught various financial courses at many institutions and corporations including; University of Cincinnati, Miami University, Northern Kentucky University, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Toyota Corporation.
For over 4 years, he was the host of a popular radio show in Cincinnati entitled Dollars and Sense. A call in talk show helping callers with various investment and financial planning questions.
Scott has been recognized locally and nationally as an expert in the area of financial planning. He has been the feature of articles or an expert reference for the; Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincinnati Post, Ticker Magazine, Cincinnati Business Courier and the Dayton Business Courier. He has also been a regular guest on 93.3 WAKW, a Christian radio station.
In 2002, Scott founded the Cincinnati chapter of Bible Based Money Management, a ministry working with the congregations to better understand biblical principals regarding the financial choices they make. In 2004 the ministry’s name was changed to Foundations, a ministry of summit Financial Group.
Scott, and his wife Cindy, are the parents of 3 children, Mary, Alex and Andrew.
The Moffitt family lives in Morrow, Ohio and are members of the Hamilton First Church of God. Scott serves on the Elder board at First Church while Cindy is a member of the church’s school board.
